1. BROWSING THE EVENT


Browse by Grade, Category, Publisher and Media Type

Our Bargain Hunter tool makes it easy to browse the Spring Educator Appreciation Event product offering. Just use the drop-down fields at the top of the home page to select a Grade, Manufacturer, and Category.  The more categories you select, the further you narrow your product results.  You may also choose a menu option from the top navigation bar on the home page. Once your results are returned, click on a product image or title to view detailed information about that product.  The "Add to Cart" button adds that product to your Shopping Cart. You can delete items from your cart before Checkout.

Searching Products

You can enter the title, item number or keyword in the Search box on any Event page and click "Submit" to view results.

While you're browsing the Spring Educator Appreciation Event, you can navigate back to the Event homepage at any time by clicking on the "Spring Educator Appreciation Event" link at the upper left corner of the page. To get to the Discovery Education homepage, click on the Discovery Education icon at the top left of any page to read more information about Discovery Education.


2. PLACING YOUR ORDER

Your Shopping Cart

Click the "Add to Cart" button on any product to add it to your shopping cart, or drag and drop the selected item directly into the “Shopping Cart” icon on the left side of every page. The “Shopping Cart” keeps a running tally of the number and the total cost of the items in your Shopping Cart. When you are finished shopping and are ready to check out, click on the "Checkout" button in the Shopping Cart area to see a detailed view of items you have added.

From the Shopping Cart you can also:
  • Change the quantity of an item: To change how many of an item you'd like to purchase, just change the number in the quantity field of that item and click "Update."
  • Delete an item: To delete an item from your cart, click in the "Remove" box to the right of the item and click "Update."
  • Continue shopping: If you would like to return to the Outlet Sale and continue browsing, click the "Continue Shopping" button.
  • Check out: When you have finished shopping and would like to submit your order, click "Checkout."

3. PAYING FOR YOUR ORDER

Paying with a Credit Card

When you have finished adding items to your cart, click the "Continue Checkout" button from the Shopping Cart and follow the directions for completing your transaction. During the check-out process you will be prompted to enter your credit card billing information and address.  The Spring Educator Appreciation Event accepts all major credit cards.

Paying by Purchase Order 

To pay by Purchase Order, proceed to check-out as normal. At check-out after entering your billing and shipping information choose the Purchase Order payment option.  An agent from our contact center will then contact you using the billing phone number you provided to complete the P.O. process.


4. REGISTRATION & MY ACCOUNT

How to Register & Sign In

Click "Sign In" from the top right of the menu on any Spring Educator Appreciation Event page and enter your email and password.  You can also choose to “Create Account” from this page.

View Order History and Order Status

You can view your Order Status and/or Order History by signing in and clicking on My Account. In the Order History section your orders are displayed.  You can review their delivery status as well as find the tracking number for each shipment.

Changing Your Password

To change your password or any other account information, sign in and click on My Account. Select the "Edit" button. This button will bring you to an edit page where you can change any of your personal information. When you have completed your changes, just select the "Update" button and your account will now reflect your new information.


5.  ORDER STATUS AND SHIPPING

Track Your Order

We currently offer tracking for orders being delivered via UPS. Once your order ships, you will receive an email confirmation that includes tracking information for your order.  To track your UPS orders, click on the Tracking Number for each shipment. The Tracking Number will open a window that links to the UPS site where you can enter your Tracking Number and receive current delivery status.

Delivery times, methods and charges for orders shipping within the Continental United States are as follows:

Express:

Delivery takes 2-3 business days if your order is placed by 1PM ET.

6. RETURNING YOUR ORDER

Due to the nature of the outlet sale, all sales are final except for items that arrive damaged.

To return a damaged product, please email Spring Educator Appreciation Event Customer service at DiscEdOutlet@ordering.com and request return instructions.

Please note: When returning an item or order, your account will not be credited for shipping costs.

Unfortunately the Spring Educator Appreciation Event currently ships only to addresses within the United States.

Can I phone or fax my order in?

Due to the nature of the sale, the Spring Educator Appreciation Event is only accepting orders placed online.

Security FAQs

How can I send my credit card number over the Internet securely?

One problem with communicating sensitive information over the Internet is that almost every connection between two computers over a network involves many intermediate steps. These steps involve a chain of computers that successively receive and forward information until the information reaches its proper destination. This process, called routing, is fundamental to all Internet communication, and any computer in the routing chain has complete access to all the data it receives. This routing process makes it possible for the unscrupulous to intercept your private messages, steal your credit card numbers, or illegally obtain confidential or proprietary information.

However, the Spring Educator Appreciation Event shopping system uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol for secure data transmission over the Internet, thereby preventing the unscrupulous from intercepting your data. SSL, which is the leading data encryption system, scrambles any data sent from your computer to our server in such a way that our server - and only our server - can unscramble the information when your data is received. Because of SSL, intermediary computers involved in routing the information see only gibberish that they can't decipher.

What is encryption?

A traditional encryption system, called a secret-key system, uses a single large number called a key both to scramble (encrypt) and unscramble (decrypt) messages. Secret-key encryption systems are very fast, but they rely on one party communicating the secret key to another party, often by way of a third party such as a courier, before the two parties can exchange encrypted messages. This makes keys vulnerable to theft or tampering while in transit.

The Spring Educator Appreciation Event system does not use a traditional encryption system. Instead, Spring Educator Appreciation Event uses a form of encryption called "public-key encryption," which ensures the privacy of your credit card and other personal information.
